City Tour
- Nilo Hill
One of the tourist attractions that have the quietest atmosphere is the Nilo hill. One reason Nilo hill is a very quiet, safe and peaceful tourist spot is the statue of the Virgin Mary. With the statue of the Virgin Mary, the hill of Nilo is far from all things that smell negative. This tourist spot is also highly valued and respected by locals and visitors.
Sikka Old Church (1889 )
Sikka is the name of a small village on the island of Flores. The majority of the population here works as fishermen and food vendors. In this village there are many historical relics that make tourists willing to flock here. One of them is the church. This church has existed from the 14th century. That is why it is called the old Sikka church. Its location close to the beach and coupled with exotic church buildings make this historical building one of the favorite tourist destinations of tourists.
Koka Beach
Visiting Koka Beach is a highly recomend. Hosting a backdrop of palm trees, powdery white sand and crystal clear water, it truly is a hidden piece of paradise. Vast cliffs and a sand bar break up the beach into 2 separate coves, Each offers slightly different, yet equally breathtaking views. And if you are prepared to take a short climb to the viewpoint, you will be rewarded with a spectacular 360 degree outlook of it all. With barely another local insight, let alone tourist, you can allow yourself to fully immerse into the beautiful surroundings. As well as absorb that well-needed vitamin sea.
Moni Village
People often skip Moni, making a beeline for Kelimutu and treating its volcanic lakes as a day trip. These people miss out. If you’re not in a rush, a couple of nights in Moni – a lovely, picturesque hill town fringed by rice fields, lush volcanic peaks and hot springs – will bring you back down to earth. It’s slow-paced and easy-going thanks to friendly locals and an unexpected Rasta community, who live to play music and invite travellers to join in at every turn. The Tuesday market, held on the soccer pitch, is a major local draw and good place to snare local ikat (patterned textiles).
Day 2 : Kelimutu – Ende
Kelimutu Mountain
Kelimutu (pronounced [kəliˈmutu]) is a volcano, close to the small town of Moni in central Flores island in Indonesia. The volcano is around 50 km to the east of Ende, Indonesia, the capital of Ende regency in East Nusa Tenggara province. The mountain has three volcanic crater lakes that differ in collor.
The science of the Kelimutu lakes is relatively well-known. Lake colors periodically change due to adjustments in the oxidation-reduction status of the fluid of each lake, and also considering the abundance of different major elements, such as iron and manganese. Oxidation-reduction status depends on the balance of volcanic gas input and rainfall rate, and is thought to be mediated by the groundwater system in the volcano itself. The colors in the lakes change independently from each other, as each has its own unique connectivity to the underlying volcano’s activity. Between January and November 2016, the colors of the craters changed six times. Although it is widely believed that the changes are unpredictable, it is more accurate to say that the lack of any regular monitoring of the volcanic system precludes scientists from having the data necessary to drive widely available predictive models.
(Break fast at the hotel and prepare for check out)
Bung Karno (the First President of Republic of Indonesia) house.
Ende city, the capital of Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara is fairly calm and peaceful. The city has a long history of four years of Sukarno or Bung Karno’s actions (14 January 1934 to 18 October 1938) exiled by the Dutch East Indies Government. Excommunicated far from the crowd, Bung Karno who was usually surrounded by the crowd when delivering his speech, of course, was frustrated to be thrown into Flores. The Netherlands Indies government severely limited Bung Karno’s association with the local community, especially the upper classes. Every day Sukarno had to report to the Dutch military post in Ende Utara which is now the IX / I Military Police Detachment Office. In this city, during his exile, Bung Karno contemplated Pancasila which was the basis of Indonesian state life. Now in Ende stands the Bung Karno Contemplation Park in Rukun Lima Village. The statue of Bung Karno sat looking thoughtfully under the five-branched breadfruit tree while staring out at the sea. Breadfruit tree which is now a shade of Bung Karno statue is a breadfruit tree that was planted in 1981. The original breadfruit tree when Bung Karno was exiled felled around 1960.
Ende airpot to Labuanbajo
Arriving LabuanBajo and directly to Bukit Cinta
Labuan Bajo, Flores does have a million charms for tourists and the existence of Bukit Cinta is one of them. Located on the plains of Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, West Flores, Bukit Cinta presents a very beautiful view and panorama from the hills. The name Bukit Cinta is given because this place is indeed the right spot for visitors to make love and there are indeed many young couples who spend time on this hill at night. To get to Bukit Cinta, visitors only need about 10 minutes to travel north from the center of Labuan Bajo City. The journey to Bukit Cinta tends to be hilly, arid and a bit full of dust due to road construction and pruning of the hill in the context of airport expansion.
It takes effort to reach the top of this hill of love. Light trekking to the top will take around 10-15 minutes, depending on physical strength.
But even so, trekking trips will not feel boring at all because visitors can take a moment to just take photos or enjoy the breeze. Rows of palm trees will be friends along the trekking journey to the top of the hill. Blue sea, views of the City of Labuan Bajo, rows of trees and green hills will spoil the eyes of every visitor of this hill.
Capture and enjoy the moment the sunset from the top of the hill of love will create its own memories for you after returning from Bumi Flores. Dinner @Bajobay Resto or similar.
Day 3 : Labuan Bajo
Komodo island
Landing at Komodo airport, you will directly sailing to Komodo island (Indonesian: Pulau Komodo) is one of the 17,508 islands that comprise the Republic of Indonesia. It takes time about 3-4 hours from Labuan bajo city. The island is particularly notable as the habitat of the Komodo dragon, the largest lizard on Earth, which is named after the island. Komodo Island has a surface area of 390 square kilometres and a human population of over two thousand. The people of the island are descendants of former convicts who were exiled to the island and who have mixed with Bugis from Sulawesi. The people are primarily adherents of Islam but there are also Christian and Hindu congregations.
Komodo is part of the Lesser Sunda chain of islands and forms part of the Komodo National Park. In addition, the island is a popular destination for diving. Administratively, it is part of the East Nusa Tenggara province.
Padar island
You may not have heard about Padar Island, but it is close to Komodo Island. In fact, Padar Island is a part of Komodo National Park, along with Komodo Island, Rinca Island, and 26 smaller islands. Padar Island is the third largest island in the Komodo National Park, after the Komodo and Rinca. Although Padar Island is not as famous as Komodo or Rinca, it is not less beautiful than the two.
Location wise, Padar Island is closer to Rinca Island compared to the Komodo Island and is separated by a strait. However, despite being a part of the Komodo National Park, Padar Island is no longer inhabited by Komodo dragons. The island is surrounded by several small islands and vast blue sea. Overall, it offers a unique panoramic view. Keep reading as we are going to talk all about Padar Island.
Pink Beach
Pink Beach, or Pantai Merah muda, as it is aptly named, is one of seven pink beaches on the planet, and is just one of the many amazing features of Komodo Island that make it truly a Natural Wonder of Nature. This exceptional beach gets its striking color from microscopic animals called Foraminifera, which produces a red pigment on the coral reefs. For this reason, it is called Red Beach in the local tongue. When the tiny fragments of red coral combine with the white sands, this produces the soft pink color that is visible along the shoreline. Aside from Pink Beach itself, a few small segments along Komodo’s eastern bay also have a pinkish tint.
Located immediately west of Flores island in East Nusa Tenggara , Komodo Island is one of three larger and many islets that make up the Komodo National Park and is particularly well-known as the natural habitat of the Komodo dragon. The Komodo Dragon is the largest living lizard, and takes its name after the island. The corals of the Pink Beach’s underwater gardens are in excellent condition, with hundreds of species of both soft and hard corals, and thousands of species of fish. Pink Beach is a terrific choice for snorkelers and beginner divers as even the shallow waters are home to an abundance of species to keep you more than entertained.
Back to Labuanbajo city
After being satisfied with a full day sailing, we will now return to landing to the city of Labuan Bajo and have a delicious Dinner at Trie top resto, at the city of Labuan bajo
Day 4 : Labuanbajo-Bandara
Gua batu Cermin
After you breakfast in the hotel and check out, you will visit Batu Cermin Cave before komodo airport.
Batu Cermin Cave is both a charm and a mystery in Labuan Bajo, Flores. Inside this cave there are coral reefs, sparkling stalactites, and turtle fossils that are on the cave walls. Wonderful! Flores is not just a matter of the beach, the sea and the Komodo dragon. Located in East Nusa Tenggara, Flores has a lot of charm that you must explore, one of which is Batu Cermin Cave. detikTravel explore and see the charm of this cave up close some time ago.
Batu Cermin Cave is located in Wae Kesambi Village, Komodo District, West Manggarai Regency,
West Flores, NTT. It is located 2.5 km from Labuan Bajo. This cave is a must-visit destination when traveling to Labuan Bajo. This is where the magic of the Stone Mirror Cave can be seen. Stalactites and stalagmites in the cave clearly glitter when illuminated by a flashlight. this sparkle comes from the salt content in the water that flows when it rains. These sparkling stones will amaze anyone. Not only staring, you can also capture the charm in the camera.
The last thing that became a miracle of this cave was the ‘mirror’. Through a gap 1 meter wide from where you see fossil turtles, you can see the ‘mirror’.
Above the cave, there is a hole about 2 meters in diameter that carries sunlight, a very bright hole. Around that, there is a narrow gap of 3/4 meter wide with a hard soil base and some blunt rocks. The gap is a mirror filled with water that reflects sunlight.
